She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Middle Tennessee State University in 2019 and decided to return to school to pursue her passion for conservation\, obtaining a Master of Science in Biology in 2023. While at university\, she taught several biology courses and conducted research on an endangered plant endemic to the area around her alma mater. After graduating\, she worked as a plant merchandiser for Metrolina Greenhouses for over a year and currently serves as a Horticulturist at the Huntsville Botanical Garden\, focusing on the garden’s natural areas. She discovered her passion for public horticulture and teaching through her mom and her various employments at the SFA Mast Arboretum\, “Nacogdoches Naturally” Education Program\, Missouri Botanical Garden\, JC Raulston Arboretum\, and Moore Farms Botanical Garden. She has a strong passion for educating the community\, leadership\, public horticulture\, and sharing her love for the outdoors while teaching.
