DESCRIPTION:Join us to work on trail improvements along Carpenter Trail. We will start on a short reroute about 0.5 miles from the trailhead\, and there will be little change in elevation. The trail is rocky and rooted in areas. Our tasks will primarily include vegetation removal\, dirtwork\, and some rock work. \nNo experience required. Wear sturdy\, closed-toe shoes. Please bring water\, snacks\, and work gloves. Extra water\, work gloves and tools will be provided. Complete a separate registration for each individual participating (each person must sign a waiver). Guardians may sign up on behalf of minors. DESCRIPTION:Families with elementary aged children are invited to attend these homeschool enrichment program events focused on exploring the natural environment to develop a connection to the land\, to wildlife and to each other. DESCRIPTION:(Moderately difficult / 3 hours/ 3 miles) Bethel Spring Nature Preserve has one of the most beautiful waterfalls on any of the Land Trust preserves and one of the largest in Madison County. This hike will start with an easy walk on the Bethel Creek Loop Trail. Things get a bit more challenging though as the route follows the Carpenter and Falling Sink Trails up to the waterfall. This trail is moderately difficult because of the 400 feet of elevation gain needed to get to the waterfall.
