SUMMARY:Little Forest Friends
DESCRIPTION:Families with young children (ages 18 months to 3 years) are invited to attend these nature discovery events designed to inspire a sense of wonder about the natural world. Through the sharing of stories\, songs\, and art\, each playful exploration engages both adults and children as we make new discoveries about the plants and animals in this beautiful forest habitat. Because we believe that we protect the places that we love\, we hope to inspire young children to feel a friendly\, respectful connection to nature – forming a foundation for curiosity and enjoyment to last a lifetime. Families are welcome to stay after the event to enjoy a picnic from home. \nLittle Forest Friends is designed with activities for young toddlers (18 months to 3 years) to enjoy\, but older siblings are welcome to join! \n\nCost: FREE but membership to support our mission is very much appreciated.\nReservations: Reservations are required. Space is limited. Please register using parent/guardian’s information and reserve one spot per family (not per child). There are no waitlists for these events. If spaces become available\, registration will reopen so please check back if you’re interested in attending.\nAges: 18 months – 3 years. An accompanying adult is required for all programs.\nWhat to Bring: Closed toe shoes are required. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate World Cyanotype Day with the Land Trust of North Alabama at Blevins Gap Nature Preserve on September 26 from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM! \nHarness the power of the sun to create beautiful cyanotype art. We’ll provide sun-reactive paper\, cyanotyping ink\, and a variety of natural materials for you to use in creating your own unique photograms.  Want to cyanotype something of your own? Bring it along! Tote bags\, T-shirts\, hats\, and other natural materials are all welcome.
