DESCRIPTION:Please join us in the North Floor Gallery for an exciting event in conjunction with the outsider art exhibition “Anything Can Be Redeemed” by Jim White\, accompanied by an artist talk about the work\,  spoken word reading from his latest book and acoustic musical performance in the gallery space.  This will be a wonderful experience you won’t want to miss out on! \n  \nAbout the artist: \nJim White’s a restless soul operating in a variety of artistic mediums. First discovered by David Byrne\, White’s quirky musical output spans a 30 year stretch\, garnering him critical darling status along the way. \nHis iconic duet with Aimee Mann on the song Static on the Radio appeared in the closing credits of the film El Camino\, while his Primus-esque romp Wordmule was featured in the pivotal Heisenger Episode of the  Breaking Bad TV series. \nWhite’s a published author as well. His debut novel\, Incidental Contact was described by Mojo Magazine as “unputdownable”. Skirmishes With the Lord\, his follow up publication\, is a collection of humorous essays detailing the making of the award winning BBC 4 documentary Searching for the Wrong-Eyed Jesus\, which White starred in. \nHis visual art has been displayed both nationally and internationally\, including shows at The Douglas Hyde Gallery in Dublin Ireland\, Aarhus Festuge in Aarhus Denmark\, the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art\, in Winston-Salem and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans. \nHis visual art output primarily centers around found object three dimensional assemblage constructions\, constituent parts culled from dumpsters\, flea markets and thrift stores around the US South. \nWhite’s themes\, be they in song\, written form or visual art\, primarily focus on the contradictions presented by life in the US South\, focusing in particular on southern religion and cultural institutions. \nWhite is the father of two grown daughters\, the eldest being rising country music star Willow Avalon.

DESCRIPTION:Cattyshack\, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of shelter cats in Alabama. We provide food and medical supplies to our foster homes\, as well as pay for all vet care. Click here to MAKE A TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION TO SAVE MORE KITTENS! \nAll of our cats are in foster homes\, they DO NOT LIVE AT THE CAT LOUNGE. Only a handful of our available cats and kittens come into the Cattyshack Lounge each Thursday-Saturday. If there is a specific kitten you want to meet\, you can email us to see if they are on the roster\, but that does not guarantee they will be there because the health of cats and kittens can change at a moments notice and they may have to stay home. The only way to guarantee a meet and greet with a specific cat is to have an approved application and arrangements are then made directly with the foster home. \nThe Cattyshack Lounge\, located at Lowe Mill\, 2211 Seminole Drive\, Studio 1062\, Huntsville\, AL 35805\, is a resource for fundraising\, socializing\, and a way to increase cat adoptions. It is designed to allow humans of all ages to play or relax\, decompress or amp up\, and flat out enjoy cats and kittens that need a forever home. You do not need to be looking for a cat to adopt to come visit\, just come play! RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED\, and a $14 donation per person is requested to complete the reservation online\, so make one now by clicking here then come on in\,  find a comfy spot\, and wait for the magic to happen!! \nCat adoptions involve filling out a non-binding application. NO SAME DAY ADOPTIONS ARE DONE AT THE LOUNGE. Please plan to come back to the Lounge the following weekend to pick up your kitty. DESCRIPTION:Danny Davis with Tangled String Studios Studio RR7 in musical Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment invites Max Clarke\, the Ohio-born artist behind Cut Worms\, now based in Brooklyn\, takes a stripped-down\, personal approach on his latest release. Instead of polished studios and high-profile producers\, he leaned on friends and longtime collaborators. Some tracks came together in his rehearsal space\, others with Brian and Michael D’Addario of The Lemon Twigs in Brooklyn\, and more with Rick Spataro at Onlyness Analog in the Hudson Valley. His live band—John Andrews\, Keven Louis Lareau\, and Noah Bond—also left their mark. \nThe result is a warm\, intimate record shaped by Clarke’s own hand as producer and mixer\, inspired by the confidence of his self-recorded single “Dream Most Wild.” Subtle arrangements\, delicate harmonies\, and his clear tenor guide nine songs that balance innocence with hard-earned wisdom. Clarke explores love\, loss\, and the passage of time\, reaching toward something timeless—the pop song as both anchor and escape.
