SUMMARY:Hike at Harvest Square
DESCRIPTION:(Easy / Around 1 hour / 1.75 miles) Harvest Square Nature Preserve has a lot of things about it that appeal to the casual hiker: Its trails are relatively easy to walk on\, there’s not a lot of mileage\, and – best of all – there are no hills! Mapping this hike shows it to have a whopping 20 feet of elevation gain over nearly two miles. While the exact route of the hike will be determined by the leader\, participants will see nearly the entire preserve with the exception of part of Senators Trail. Much of this walk is along crushed limestone paths and recently-installed boardwalks. \nIn the event this hike has to be canceled due to weather or trail conditions\, we will send a notification to the email address you use to register. \nLocation: Harvest Square Nature Preserve\, 111 Allyson Sadie Blvd\, Harvest\, AL 35749 \nSign up \n

DESCRIPTION:(Difficult/ around 8 miles/around 4-5 hours) Hikers will join Cane Creek Advisory committee members Joseph Rickard and Patrick Shremshock on a hike to Cane Creek’s Devil’s Hollow. This hike will be moderate to high difficulty due to the distance of the hike. The round trip will be approximately 8 miles. We will also explore several waterfalls\, so bring a camera or phone. \nDonations are requested to attend but are not requried. Donations can be made on the Land Trust of North Alabama website (landtrustnal.org/cane-creek-preserve) or cash donations can be accepted in the donation box onsite. \nRegister \nLocation: Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve \nIn the event that weather or trail conditions require us to cancel this hike\, a message will be sent to the email address you use to register.
