Volunteers should expect to hike up to 4 miles with more than 200 feet of elevation change. \nGreat news! We’ve reached the halfway point\, which means we will be changing meeting locations to the other end of the trail to help shorten hike time. \nBeginning on June 10\, the new meeting location for this project will be the Bankhead Parkway turnoff. This location does not have an exact address\, so participants are asked to use the map link below for directions: \nhttps://maps.app.goo.gl/Xbbg3ypHbS3hhyE29 \nPlease plan accordingly\, and let us know if you have any questions. We appreciate all of your hard work and are excited to keep making progress together! \nNo experience required. Please wear sturdy\, closed-toe shoes. Bug spray\, sunscreen\, work gloves\, eye protection\, and water recommended. Complete a separate registration for each individual participating (each person must sign a waiver). DESCRIPTION:(Moderate / about 2 hours / around 2 miles) Hikers will walk this preserve’s primary trail\, the Legacy Loop. Covering much of the preserve\, this hike will show you some of the beauty this hillside has to offer. \nMeeting Location: Trailhead Greenway Parking – 1500 Trailhead Main St\, Huntsville\, AL 35811 \nComing from Huntsville\, head east on Highway 72. At the intersection of Highway 72 and Moores Mill Road\, turn right into the Trailhead community. Then turn right onto Trailhead Main Street.
