Events like this strengthen our community and remind us of the spirit that makes Huntsville such a special place to call home.” More than 500 community members cast their votes in July to select this year’s parade theme. The results are in\, and the official theme for 2025 is “A Very Merry Christmas.” “This theme really brings us back to the heart of the holidays\,” said Abby Kay\, WRSA Program Director and Morning Show Host. “It’s about joy\, family\, and tradition. I can’t wait to see our community come together to bring this cheerful theme to life with their floats and performances.” The Huntsville Christmas Parade has become one of the most anticipated holiday traditions in the Tennessee Valley\, attracting thousands of spectators each year. This year’s parade will be presented for the first time by Food City. “We are so excited to welcome Food City as this year’s presenting sponsor\,” said Samantha Nielsen\, VBC Director of Marketing and Public Relations. “Each year this event grows in creativity and community spirit\, and having Food City’s support ensures this tradition continues to bring smiles\, laughter\, and holiday magic to downtown Huntsville.”  Registration for the 2025 Huntsville Christmas Parade is now open and will remain open through October 17. Interested participants can find registration information at mix969huntsville.com. Space is limited\, and applications will be reviewed by a panel. Floats will be judged on Creativity\, Execution\, and Theme Interpretation. “Food City is honored to serve as the presenting sponsor for this year’s Huntsville Christmas Parade\,” said Myron McCormick\, Food City Alabama District Manager. “Community is at the heart of everything we do\, and this event embodies the joy\, togetherness\, and celebration of the season. Applications have been received\, and the 2025 nonprofit beneficiary is Rocket City Rescue\, a nonprofit dedicated to saving\, rehabilitating\, and rehoming animals in need.
