Complete a separate registration for each individual participating (each person must sign a waiver). Guardians may sign up on behalf of minors. Registration Required. \nDue to safety concerns\, all volunteers must be at least 12 years old to participate. Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian. The Land Trust is committed to the inclusion of all qualified volunteers including those with a disability. However\, not all natural work environments are accessible. Please let our volunteer coordinator know the nature of the accommodation needed so that we may make every effort\, where possible\, to include all in the event.  \nSign Up! \nIf this event is canceled due to weather or trail conditions\, we will send a notification to registered participants to the email address provided at sign up.

DESCRIPTION:The Expedition: We welcome you to learn about the vast diversity of reptiles and amphibians that call Alabama home. Come join herpetologist Andrew Cantrell on a small adventure to see what we can find on the Wildflower Trail at Monte Sano. The aim is to help you learn about these secretive animals\, how to look for them safely (for you and them)\, and what makes these species so special. Sturdy water shoes are recommended. Please do not put sunscreen on your hands and feet if you plan on stepping in the water and possibly holding some critters! \nCost: FREE but only available for Land Trust members at the Trailblazer (Family) level or above. \nReservations: Land Trust members at the Trailblazer (Family) level or above only. Reservations are required. Space is limited. Please register using parent/guardian’s information (name on your Land Trust membership) and select spots for the number of children only.
