This hike is of moderate difficulty due to descending into the canyon and the pleasure of hiking back out. Hikers are encouraged to bring a sack lunch and snacks depending on their needs. A water bottle is a must! There will be water refilling stations along the way\, so no worries if you imbibe a lot! Bring your smart phone or camera! Hooper Falls is not a frequented site on the preserve\, but it is worth the hike. He’s originally from Muscle Shoals\, AL and plays with a band called Drive-By Truckers as well as being a solo artist. \nPatterson Hood’s first solo record in over a decade was born out of a friendship with producer Chris Funk (The Decemberists). The pair would often perform together for fun and during Hood’s solo tours\, making far-off plans to make a record together. They eventually went into Jackpot Studios in Portland.
