DESCRIPTION:Cattyshack\, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of shelter cats in Alabama. We provide food and medical supplies to our foster homes\, as well as pay for all vet care. Click here to MAKE A TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION TO SAVE MORE KITTENS! \nAll of our cats are in foster homes\, they DO NOT LIVE AT THE CAT LOUNGE. Only a handful of our available cats and kittens come into the Cattyshack Lounge each Thursday-Saturday. If there is a specific kitten you want to meet\, you can email us to see if they are on the roster\, but that does not guarantee they will be there because the health of cats and kittens can change at a moments notice and they may have to stay home. The only way to guarantee a meet and greet with a specific cat is to have an approved application and arrangements are then made directly with the foster home. \nThe Cattyshack Lounge\, located at Lowe Mill\, 2211 Seminole Drive\, Studio 1062\, Huntsville\, AL 35805\, is a resource for fundraising\, socializing\, and a way to increase cat adoptions. It is designed to allow humans of all ages to play or relax\, decompress or amp up\, and flat out enjoy cats and kittens that need a forever home. You do not need to be looking for a cat to adopt to come visit\, just come play! RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED\, and a $14 donation per person is requested to complete the reservation online\, so make one now by clicking here then come on in\,  find a comfy spot\, and wait for the magic to happen!! \nCat adoptions involve filling out a non-binding application. NO SAME DAY ADOPTIONS ARE DONE AT THE LOUNGE. Please plan to come back to the Lounge the following weekend to pick up your kitty. Enjoy $5 admission from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.\, and explore the latest exhibitions or revisit your favorite pieces from our permanent collection.\nGuests aged 21+ can purchase a glass of wine selected by Church Street Wine Shoppe\, adding the perfect touch to your museum experience.\nJosh Taylor: Guitarist\, composer\, and singer who cut his teeth in Nashville\, Tennessee before moving back to his hometown of Madison\, Alabama. He is an award-winning fingerstyle guitarist and took home the state champion title during the 2019 Athens Old Time Fiddler’s Convention Fingerstyle Guitar Competition and was the runner-up in 2021.\nJosh is heavily influenced by the work of guitarists such as Tommy Emmanuel\, Jerry Reed\, Chet Atkins\, and Joe Robinson and his time spent studying these artists has yielded a sound that is reminiscent of his heroes while still providing his own modern twist. Josh is a member of the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society and through his time with them has played with and for some of the best guitarists in the world including the aforementioned Tommy Emmanuel. Taylor’s sound covers a wide range of genres and he is able to go from country to jazz to pop to classical and even to rock n’ roll seamlessly (and somehow being able to do it all on one acoustic guitar!). He is also an educator and teaches privately at Colors Fine Arts Center in Huntsville Alabama.
