He is an award-winning fingerstyle guitarist and took home the state champion title during the 2019 Athens Old Time Fiddler’s Convention Fingerstyle Guitar Competition and was the runner-up in 2021.\nJosh is heavily influenced by the work of guitarists such as Tommy Emmanuel\, Jerry Reed\, Chet Atkins\, and Joe Robinson and his time spent studying these artists has yielded a sound that is reminiscent of his heroes while still providing his own modern twist.
