SUMMARY:Hump Day Hike at Monte Sano (Three Caves Trailhead)
DESCRIPTION:(Moderate to Difficult/ 2 hours/ 3-3.5 miles) Join us for a somewhat challenging midweek hike at the Monte Sano Nature Preserve starting at the Three Caves trailhead. The hike will start on the Three Caves Loop Trail overlooking Three Caves and then uphill for approximately 0.3 miles on the Waterline Trail.  The route will leave the Waterline Trail and connect to the Young-Kennedy Trail (heading south) which will end near a seasonal waterfall after another short uphill.  We will then take the Wagon Trail back to the Waterline Trail.  Then it is all downhill back to the Three Caves trailhead.   \nNote: This preserve has several trailheads – be sure to come to the right one. \nLocation: Monte Sano Nature Preserve (Three Caves Trailhead) – 901 Kennamer Dr SE\, Huntsville\, AL 35801 \nSign Up \nIn the event this hike has to be canceled due to weather or trail conditions\, we will send a notification to the email address you use to register.

DESCRIPTION:Help prepare for a bridge build by hauling steel beams and lumber to the site where Watts Trail crosses Fagan Creek. This work will be strengous and involve hiking to and from the trail entrance while carry lumber. Great full body workout! \nBug spray\, sunscreen\, work gloves\, eye protection\, and water recommended. Complete a separate registration for each individual participating (each person must sign a waiver). Guardians may sign up on behalf of minors. Registration Required. \nDue to safety concerns\, all volunteers must be at least 12 years old to participate. Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian. The Land Trust is committed to the inclusion of all qualified volunteers including those with a disability. However\, not all natural work environments are accessible. DESCRIPTION:Cattyshack\, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of shelter cats in Alabama. We provide food and medical supplies to our foster homes\, as well as pay for all vet care. Click here to MAKE A TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION TO SAVE MORE KITTENS! \nAll of our cats are in foster homes\, they DO NOT LIVE AT THE CAT LOUNGE. Only a handful of our available cats and kittens come into the Cattyshack Lounge each Thursday-Saturday. If there is a specific kitten you want to meet\, you can email us to see if they are on the roster\, but that does not guarantee they will be there because the health of cats and kittens can change at a moments notice and they may have to stay home. The only way to guarantee a meet and greet with a specific cat is to have an approved application and arrangements are then made directly with the foster home. \nThe Cattyshack Lounge\, located at Lowe Mill\, 2211 Seminole Drive\, Studio 1062\, Huntsville\, AL 35805\, is a resource for fundraising\, socializing\, and a way to increase cat adoptions. It is designed to allow humans of all ages to play or relax\, decompress or amp up\, and flat out enjoy cats and kittens that need a forever home. You do not need to be looking for a cat to adopt to come visit\, just come play! RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED\, and a $14 donation per person is requested to complete the reservation online\, so make one now by clicking here then come on in\,  find a comfy spot\, and wait for the magic to happen!! \nCat adoptions involve filling out a non-binding application. NO SAME DAY ADOPTIONS ARE DONE AT THE LOUNGE. Please plan to come back to the Lounge the following weekend to pick up your kitty.
