Her contemporary work bridges classical beauty with the modern painting practices of today. She has been awarded the honor of the Bold Brush Award\, a distinction an artist may achieve only once in their lifetime. Ann’s work has recently been selected as a finalist in the Art Renewal Center\, been featured in several Oil Painters of America exhibits. She has been awarded by the National Acrylic & Oil Painters Society and Portrait Society of America. \nIn 2015\, Ann partnered with two other artists to help co-found Protege Atelier\, where she paints\, teaches\, and assists in bringing master artist workshops to Huntsville. Steverson is also the inventor and founder of Venus Copper Panels\, now known as Artefex Copper Panels\, the first CCM (copper composite material) artist panel. \nA native of Madison\, Alabama\, Ann began painting in oils at the University of Montevallo in 1999. She graduated in 2002 from the University of Alabama in Huntsville\, completing a B.A. with a Fine Arts Concentration. Ann then acquired a Master of Art Education from Alabama A&M University in Normal\, Alabama. \nAnn exhibits her work nationally and internationally and soon will have several of her works included in the Peregrine Collection\, via which they will be archived on the moon. \nAnn Moeller has been painting for over 20 years\, and she’s excited to share her knowledge with students of all levels.

DESCRIPTION:Cattyshack\, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of shelter cats in Alabama. We provide food and medical supplies to our foster homes\, as well as pay for all vet care. Click here to MAKE A TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION TO SAVE MORE KITTENS! \nAll of our cats are in foster homes\, they DO NOT LIVE AT THE CAT LOUNGE. Only a handful of our available cats and kittens come into the Cattyshack Lounge each Thursday-Saturday. If there is a specific kitten you want to meet\, you can email us to see if they are on the roster\, but that does not guarantee they will be there because the health of cats and kittens can change at a moments notice and they may have to stay home. The only way to guarantee a meet and greet with a specific cat is to have an approved application and arrangements are then made directly with the foster home. \nThe Cattyshack Lounge\, located at Lowe Mill\, 2211 Seminole Drive\, Studio 1062\, Huntsville\, AL 35805\, is a resource for fundraising\, socializing\, and a way to increase cat adoptions. It is designed to allow humans of all ages to play or relax\, decompress or amp up\, and flat out enjoy cats and kittens that need a forever home. You do not need to be looking for a cat to adopt to come visit\, just come play! RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED\, and a $14 donation per person is requested to complete the reservation online\, so make one now by clicking here then come on in\,  find a comfy spot\, and wait for the magic to happen!! \nCat adoptions involve filling out a non-binding application. NO SAME DAY ADOPTIONS ARE DONE AT THE LOUNGE. Please plan to come back to the Lounge the following weekend to pick up your kitty. Instructor Rebecca Turk will cover all of the basics\, including light exposure\, bed preparation\, plant selection\, soil quality\, watering\, tool selection\, and tips/tricks to yield better results. This series will include both lecture and hands-on demonstrations\, so all attendees should come dressed for the outdoors. At the end of the class\, attendees will take home seeds to kick-start a home garden! \nThis three-part series is designed for beginners looking to build a strong gardening foundation.  Capacity is limited\, so reserve your spot today! \n\nAdditional Information\nThis class will take place in person at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. Attendees will receive an email prior to the first class with the meeting location. Austin State University. She discovered her passion for public horticulture and teaching through her mom and her various employments at the SFA Mast Arboretum\, “Nacogdoches Naturally” Education Program\, Missouri Botanical Garden\, JC Raulston Arboretum\, and Moore Farms Botanical Garden. At the Huntsville Botanical Garden\, she serves as the Director of Learning and Public Engagement. She has a strong passion for educating the community\, leadership\, public horticulture\, and sharing her love for the outdoors while teaching.
