Beginning at the Kensington Drive Trailhead\, follow this beautifully built trail up to the Rainbow Mountain Loop\, where you’ll turn north and head to Balance Rock Trail\, observing several of the preserve’s intriguing formations. Come back around Rainbow Loop and back down to Rainbolt for a nice downhill slope to your vehicle. Through the sharing of stories\, songs\, and art\, each playful exploration engages both adults and children as we make new discoveries about the plants and animals in this beautiful forest habitat. Because we believe that we protect the places that we love\, we hope to inspire young children to feel a friendly\, respectful connection to nature – forming a foundation for curiosity and enjoyment to last a lifetime. Families are welcome to stay after the event to enjoy a picnic from home. \nLittle Forest Friends is designed with activities for young toddlers (18 months to 3 years) to enjoy\, but older siblings are welcome to join! \n\nCost: FREE but membership to support our mission is very much appreciated.\nReservations: Reservations are required. Most of our members have enough props to share\, so all you need to bring is your willingness to try something new! \nWhat is Flow Arts? \nFlow arts is a general term used to describe the intersection of a variety of movement-based disciplines including dance\, juggling\, fire-spinning\, and object manipulation. The broad category flow arts includes a variety of pursuits that harmonize skill-based techniques with creative expression to achieve a state of present-moment awareness known as ‘flow’. \nCommon forms of flow arts include poi & staff spinning\, hula hoop (or “hooping”)\, juggling\, sphere manipulation (or “contact juggling”)\, and fan dance.
