If you have a pair of binoculars\, you might want to bring them – this preserve is a birding destination for those who enjoy our feathered friends. \nLocation: The Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve\, 1263 U.S Hwy 72 East\, Huntsville\, AL 35811 (Directions: coming from Huntsville\, cross Chapman Mountain on Hwy 72 and U-turn at Moores Mill Road. When safe\, get into the merge lane on the right (plenty of time). When the silver guard rail ends\, be ready to turn right onto the paved entrance. DESCRIPTION:(Moderate / 1.5 hours / About 2 miles) Fagan Creek is beautiful any time of the year\, especially in the spring. The route for this hike will start at Cleermont Trailhead and head east on Wildflower Trail. At the end of Wildflower Trail\, you’ll spend just a few minutes on Fagan Springs Trail before heading south on Alms House Trail. You’ll leave Alms House Trail to take a section of Wagon Trail and Young-Kennedy Trail before getting back on Alms House Trail heading northeast.
