DESCRIPTION:Due to forecasted weather and trail conditions\, we’ve had to cancel this hike.  Please watch for this to possibly be rescheduled.  If nothing else\, we hope to see you at the May event! \n(Moderate / about 2 hours / around 2 miles) \nWe will hike Legacy Loop which starts at the City of Huntsville’s Trailhead Greenway near the spring house. The trail leads you up and down the mountain through the forest\, and finishes up further down the greenway. This trail is listed as moderate difficulty due to elevation change and rocky terrain. \nThis hike is for teens\, ages 12–17. A parent or guardian must accompany each teen to the preserve\, and we ask that younger siblings not attend. Parents and guardians don’t have to hike. Be sure to wear hiking shoes\, bring layers and a snack and water. We will stop along the trail for nature journaling and taking photos\, so bring your favorite art supplies. We may also enter interesting finds into iNaturalist for identification. \nIn the event this hike has to be canceled due to weather or trail conditions\, we will send a notification to the email address you use to register. \nMeeting Location: Hickory Cove\, Trailhead Greenway Parking – 1500 Trailhead Main St\, Huntsville\, AL 35811 \nComing from Huntsville\, head east on Highway 72.
