Nestled in the historic district of Five Points\, its location at 820 Wellman Avenue\, Huntsville Alabama has echoed with guitar riffs\, banjo picking\, and the soft buzz of tube amps for the last 22 years. \nThe store was built on passion and soul by its founder\, Bill Graviett\, a dedicated musician and an even more devoted community member. Bill didn’t just run Harmony Sound—he lived it. He knew every instrument like an old friend and treated every customer like family. His passing on January 22\, 2025\, left a silence that was deeply felt by the local music community. \nThen came April 25\, 2025. \nLongtime friends and local music supporters Wayne Eames and Doug Johnson decided to swing by the old store\, curious—and worried—about its future. The windows were dusty\, the lights dim. But as they leaned in for a closer look\, the door unexpectedly creaked open. \nStanding there with a smile and a sparkle in his eye was Bob Valentine\, Harmony’s ever-loyal music teacher. Without missing a beat\, he asked\, “Are you my new bosses?” \nThe question caught them off guard. But what came next was a surprise neither of them expected. \nThey learned that Harmony Sound was on the brink—facing auction or sale\, depending on which came first. The idea of losing such a landmark was unthinkable.
