DESCRIPTION:Join the North Alabama Native Plants Society for their 7th native plant swap and share! The fall event will be held on Saturday\, October 17th\, from 1pm to 4pm\, at Blevins Gap. There will be plants! There will be seeds! There will be plant nerds and ecologically minded friends! Native plants ONLY. \nDon’t worry if you have nothing to trade! Many people are happy to share or talk plants\, so please feel free to attend. Seeds\, cuttings\, plants\, plastic pots\, tools\, and books are welcome. Plants on the Alabama Invasive list are NOT allowed\, NOR are non-native plants. This is a swap/share and NO SALES are permitted. You may bring a table or use your trunk or truck bed for setting up. \nWe will meet on the north end of the Blevins Gap parking lot\, next to Marie’s Pollinator Garden.

SUMMARY:Hike at Blevins Gap South
DESCRIPTION:(Moderate / 2.5 hours / 3.25 miles) Blevins Gap Nature Preserve provides some of the best views of Huntsville in the area. If you’ve not seen the city (and Jackson County to the east) from this vantage point\, you’re going to want to check it out! This hike is rated moderate\, but it does start with a significant climb of some 300 feet over the first half mile of walking. After that\, it levels off for an easy walk. The hike will start at Blevins Gap Trailhead and head south on Bill and Marion Certain Trail.
