DESCRIPTION:Join us for a nature-inspired book discussion as we kick off a new Land Trust Book Club! Our first selection is The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben\, a fascinating exploration of how trees communicate\, support one another\, and function as interconnected communities. Blending scientific research with personal insight\, this book offers a fresh perspective on the hidden world of forests. \nThe group will meet on Saturday\, May 9\, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Marie’s Garden on the Blevins Gap Nature Preserve (enter the parking lot and turn to the right). A few discussion questions will be provided to guide conversation\, and all are welcome — whether you’ve finished the book or are just getting started. Feel free to bring snacks to share. \nFollowing the discussion\, a Land Trust staff member will lead an optional short walk at the preserve to observe and appreciate some of our local trees up close. \nBook Tip: You should be able to buy or order the book from Snail on the Wall (a local\, independent book store) or get it from the library (book\, eBook\, or Kindle versions).  You are also encouraged to look for it at local thrift stores\, Friends of the Library stores\, or various online stores. \nRegister Here (Registering in advance is encouraged so that we can prepare.)
