SUMMARY:Cane Creek Nature Preserve Hike
DESCRIPTION:(Moderate / about 4 hours / 5 miles) \nHooper Falls is 2.5 miles out for a one-way\, 5 miles round trip. We will be taking it easy on the hike and moving at a leisurely pace. The hike is of moderate difficulty with some rolling hill climbs coming mostly at the end of the hike as we climb back out of the preserve towards the parking area. Hikers are encouraged to pack some snacks or a sack lunch and bring a full water bottle. Hooper Falls is a less frequented site on the preserve but a great one to visit\, especially after a good hard rainfall. Volunteers may expect to hike up to 3 miles with elevation changes of greater than 250 feet. \nNo experience required. Wear sturdy\, closed-toe shoes. Please bring water\, snacks\, and work gloves. Extra water\, work gloves and tools will be provided. Complete a separate registration for each individual participating (each person must sign a waiver). Guardians may sign up on behalf of minors.
