SUMMARY:Huntsville Women Who Made History - Walking Tour
DESCRIPTION:Discover the stories of Huntsville women who made history during HHF’s Spring Walking Tour! Participants will learn about pioneers who founded the Huntsville Infirmary (forerunner to Huntsville Hospital)\, who dedicated their lives to educating the children in Huntsville and Madison County\, and who were even elected to public office and served on city and county school boards\, all before women had voting rights! \n \nTour guides will include Donna Castellano (HHF Executive Director) and other special guests\, including Allie Craig\, the great\, great granddaughter of Alice Boarman Baldridge. \n \nThis is a FREE\, family friendly tour welcoming people of all ages. It will start outside the Central YMCA Building\, located at 203 Greene Street\, and will circle Courthouse Square\, ending at Harrison Brothers Hardware.
