DESCRIPTION:The Huntsville Traditional Music Association proudly presents its Fourth Annual Acoustic Night of Blues in the Round\, with headliners Jess Goggans and Mike Roberts appearing on the HTMA stage (Studio 1038\, Lowe Mill). Opening act will be beloved ‘Orangutan or Lion?‘ ukulele musician Kirk Jones\, who will open with some blues and original music. Kirk also teaches a monthly FREE class\, ‘Beginner Ukulele\,’ at the HTMA studio. \nJess Goggans is no stranger to the Huntsville-area listening public. Jess puts her whole soul into her music and every bit of her heart into her performances. Recognized for her sultry southern grit\, soulful melodies and high-energy stage presence\, you can actually feel her voice moving through you. Her music has been described as ‘get down’ music\, with influences of rock\, funk\, and the blues. \nMike Roberts is one of Huntsville’s favorite singer-songwriters but is well-known across the South. His authentic southern upbringing is evident in his songs\, bringing a neighborly spirit to each performance.  \nYou won’t want to miss this year’s Acoustic Night of the Blues\, a feature of HTMA’s monthly Coffeehouse Series. He has evolved from a solo acoustic musician into an alternative rock songwriter\, capturing the balance between the two with driving guitar and expressive vocals.  \nKeyton has opened for many well-known musicians in the area\, including a recent appearance at Huntsville’s PorchFest. \nThis is a FREE show but donations to HTMA are always welcomed and appreciated.
