When he becomes convinced something else is happening to him in those frozen\, helpless moments\, the search for answers pulls his sister Laurie into a spiral of doubt\, fear\, and the kind of bond that gets tested when one sibling stops believing the other is okay. Abductee is a psychological thriller about belief\, trauma\, and what we owe the people who love us when our reality stops making sense to them. \nThis film has no studio and no major distributor behind it. It’s being brought to theaters city by city\, one screening at a time\, by the people who made it. Atlanta is one stop on that road\, and The Tara\, a theater that has survived near-closure and come back to life through the community that refused to let it go\, felt like exactly the right place for a story about being found rather than marketed. \nWriter/director William Hopp will be in attendance.
