Its successors\, Human Clay (1999) and Weathered (2001)\, both debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200\, with Human Clay earning RIAA Diamond certification for more than 11 million U.S. sales—placing the band among a rare class that includes Van Halen\, Guns N’ Roses\, and Metallica. Their 2009 reunion album Full Circle debuted at No. 1 on the Top Rock\, Hard Rock\, and Alternative charts and No. 2 on the Billboard 200. \nAfter an eleven-year hiatus\, CREED officially reunited in July 2023. Their announcement as headliners for two ‘Summer of ’99’ cruise festivals in April 2024 sold out immediately\, setting the stage for a major resurgence. The band followed with more than 60 tour dates in 2024 and another 30 dates in 2025\, including their own two-day land-based festival—drawing record-breaking crowds and firmly reestablishing CREED at the forefront of the rock mainstream.

SUMMARY:GOO GOO DOLLS
DESCRIPTION:GOO GOO DOLLS bring their Summer 2026 Tour to The Orion Amphitheater on August 18\, with special guest NEON TREES!  \n\nFormed by John Rzeznik and Robby Takac in Buffalo\, NY in 1986\, Goo Goo Dolls have quietly broken records\, contributed a string of staples to the American songbook\, connected to millions of fans\, and indelibly impacted popular music for three-plus decades.\nBeyond selling 15 million records worldwide\, the group has garnered four GRAMMY® Award nominations and nearly a dozen platinum & gold singles combined\, and seized a page in the history books by achieving 16 number one and Top 10 hits. As a result\, they hold the all-time radio record for “Most Top 10 Singles.”  \nThus far\, A Boy Named Goo has gone double-platinum\, Dizzy Up The Girl five-times-platinum\, and Gutterflower and Let Love In both went gold as Something for the Rest of Us and Magnetic bowed in the Top 10 of the Billboard Top 200. Their music continues to reach new audiences around the world and rack up platinum & gold statuses – including the recently platinum-certified “Slide”\, “Black Balloon” and “Better Days” – and has been covered by everyone from Taylor Swift to Phoebe Bridgers and Maggie Rogers. \nAmong a string of hits\, “Iris” clutched #1 on the Hot 100 for 18 straight weeks and would be named “#1 Top 40 Song of the Last 20 Years.” On the heels of going viral on TikTok\, the track recently achieved seven-times-platinum status and re-entered the Billboard charts\, yet again proving the timelessness of Goo Goo Dolls’ illustrious catalog. \n\n

Within just a year of teaching himself to play guitar\, the Oregon-bred\, Nashville-based musician turned out three EPs spotlighting his emotionally potent yet nuanced lyrics—an element beautifully displayed on his breakout single “A Lot More Free\,” a track that landed on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart and greatly expanded his grassroots following. Anchored in the charmingly warm vocal presence he partly honed by busking at the beach in Southern California\, McNown’s debut album Wandering brings an even deeper sense of purpose to his songwriting—and\, in turn\, reveals his extraordinary capacity to ease the mind and strengthen the soul. \nAt 22\, McNown has already been on a storied musical journey. Taking control of his future and drawing inspiration from his brother who was bravely fighting cancer\, McNown packed his bags and drove from remote Oregon to Southern California. From there\, videos of him busking on a pier made an impact online and eventually grew into a legion of supporters on TikTok. \nAfter attracting interest from major TV talent shows\, McNown auditioned for one and then decided it wasn’t for him\, and gracefully turned them down as he knew he needed to walk his own path. His loyal fanbase then helped McNown amass 80 million streams and a spot on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart with his breakout single\, “A Lot More Free\,” which was recently #1 on the TikTok Breakthrough USA chart.  \nWhen wrestling with inevitable moments of self-doubt in the creative process and his fast moving career\, McNown looks back to insight shared by his mother. “When I was younger I sang around the house all the time—I’d sing in the shower or before I went to bed\, I’d always sing in the car\,” he says. “My mom used to tell us growing up that singing means you have a happy heart. Even if the song’s about something difficult or painful\, I still have a happy heart when I sing.” \nTickets: https://theorionhuntsville.com/event/parker-mccollum/.

SUMMARY:An Evening with Peabo Bryson
DESCRIPTION:The Rising South season will culminate in a benefit concert and fundraiser headlined by two-time Grammy Award winner Peabo Bryson\, whose legendary voice and artistry have inspired audiences for decades.\n\nMr. Bryson—recipient of Grammy Awards for “A Whole New World (Aladdin’s Theme)” and “Beauty and the Beast”—will perform a full concert in support of Rising South’s mission. \nPrior to Mr. Bryson’s performance\, local artists and student performers will take the stage\, including a signature musical presentation titled “From Hidden to Crowned\,” which depicts the journey from pain to purpose and triumph over violence. \nThrough this project\, Rising South Literacy School invites the entire community—students\, educators\, artists\, and families—to take part in building a culture of peace\, literacy\, and collective pride. \nABOUT RISING SOUTH LITERARY SCHOOL \nAlthough Rising South officially became a 501(c)(3) organization in late 2022\, and then paused after the loss of its founder\, our commitment to community service extends back more than two decades. Long before obtaining nonprofit status\, we operated as a grassroots volunteer collective\, organizing literacy drives\, mentoring youth\, hosting free arts workshops\, and leading community dialogues on gun violence\, domestic abuse\, and neighborhood revitalization.  \nIn February 2023\, we experienced the profound loss of one of our founding organizers\, Phillip Muhammad\, a retired police officer and passionate advocate for violence prevention who worked closely with residents most vulnerable to adverse outcomes.  \nHis dedication continues to inspire our mission\, and today Rising South carries forward his legacy by advancing initiatives that promote community safety\, education\, and healing. \nLEARN MORE\n\n\n  \nTickets: https://theorionhuntsville.com/events/?&currentpage=1&listview=0.

SUMMARY:The Doobie Brothers
DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss The Doobie Brothers’ triumphant return to The Orion Amphitheater on October 13\, 2026. \nDATE AND TIMESTuesday\, October 13\, 2026Apollo South Open: 5 PMDoors Open: 6:30 PMShow Time: 8 PM \nThe Doobie Brothers are an iconic American rock act who have run the gamut from mainstream rock to blue-eyed soul. \nThe Doobie Brother’s tour dates\, which include their 2017 Summer Tour\, 2015 Southbound Tour\, and stretch back all the way to their 1983 Farewell Tour\, have taken them across North America from the likes of Madison Square Garden to the Arizona Federal Theatre and seen them unite with powerhouse rock performers like Chicago\, Lynyrd Skynyrd\, Ted Nugent and more.  \nThroughout their many incarnations\, The Doobie Brothers have been known for their eclectic rock sound\, fused with elements of country\, R&B and folk music\, along with their impressive vocal harmonization. The latter gained the group entry into the Vocal Group Hall Of Fame in 2004\, while the former has seen the band sell some 40 million albums over their five-plus decades in existence. In concert\, The Doobie Brothers thrill with their combination of electrifying guitar work\, tight group vocals\, and the occasional saxophone solo as well.  \nThe Doobie Brothers have won two Grammy Awards\, both in 1979\, for their songs “Minute By Minute” (Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals) and “What A Fool Believes” (Record of the Year). They were also nominated for Album Of The Year for Minute By Minute in 1979\, along with Best Pop Instrumental Performance for “South Bay Strut” in 1980.  \nThe core of what would become the Doobie Brothers came together around 1970\, when guitarist Patrick Simmons and bassist Dave Shogren joined forces with drummer John Hartman and guitarist/vocalist Tom Johnston. They toured the San Jose area\, morphing into the acclaimed rock act they are today. They released their self-titled debut in 1971 and headed on their first national tour shortly thereafter.  \nThe Doobie Brothers’ greatest success came during the height of the 1970s\, when they released their classic 1973 album The Captain and Me\, which included hits like “Long Train Runnin’” and “China Grove.” The Doobie Brothers’ sound changed to incorporate more soft-rock and soul influences during the Michael McDonald years\, and the group continued releasing material to great success\, cementing their place in the pantheon of popular 1970s acts.  \nThe Doobie Brothers’ legacy puts them in league with contemporary groups like The Eagles\, Journey and Fleetwood Mac and has seem them share the stage with other performers as diverse as Steely Dan and Earth\, Wind & Fire.
