11 cool Halloween events to check out here in the Rocket City

October is here, folks! And with October comes a bevy of Halloween celebrations all over town. One thing I have realized about Huntsville since moving here is that this place does Halloween the right way, and really knows how to get into the mood for the spooky season!

Whether you’re looking for something for the kids or out for some grown-up Halloween fun, there’s plenty to do this month!

Halloween Party + Haunted House @ John Hunt Park

  • What: Fill your trick-or-treat bags at the candy booths, enjoy family-friendly entertainment, have fun at the games and inflatables, check out tasty food from local vendors and take a walk through the Haunted House for some Halloween scares.

Monster Mash @ Mark Russell Recreation Center

  • What: Head to the Mark Russell Rec Center for seasonal crafts, games, treats and more Halloween family fun.

  • What: Gather the kiddos for trick-or-treating throughout the Museum! Your tickets grant you access to a special trick-or-treating experience for you and your family.

  • What: Start at Harrison Brothers Hardware and take a tour of old Huntsville, while learning of the city’s haunted past.
