Monday is Memorial Day, when we honor those who lost their lives while defending our nation in the military. And if you are a veteran or active military personnel, there are a few spots in town that want to honor you by giving you a discount or special deal on memorial Day.

Restaurant specials for military

Here are some of the places in and around Huntsville that have special deals for military on Memorial Day:

Chick-fil-A (multiple locations): 10 percent off for all service members with a valid military ID.
Grimaldi’s (2724 Carl T Jones Dr SE, Huntsville, AL 35802): All active duty and retired military personnel can get a 15 percent discount at participating locations. Must show a valid military I.D.
Hooters (4729 NW University, Huntsville, AL 35806): 20 percent off take-out orders for military personnel and first responders.
IHOP (multiple locations): 20 percent off your meal.
Marco’s Pizza (multiple locations): Use the code NEWMAG to get a discounted price on any Magnifico pizzas. May 25 – 28, use the code MEM23 to get 20 percent off menu-priced pizza.
Outback Steakhouse (multiple locations): 10 percent off for military personnel and their families.
