100+ items part of Land Trust of North Alabama silent auction
Reading time: 3 minutes
The Land Trust of North Alabama’s big fundraising event “Moon Dance” is this weekend, but for those who cannot attend the event, the other element of the fundraiser, a silent auction, is online and available to anyone who wishes to bid.
Bidding begins Saturday, and includes some pretty awesome stuff — artwork, outdoor gear, sporting goods and more — so check out how you can get involved!
What is Moon Dance?
Moon Dance is a dinner featuring live music by Kozmic Mama and, of course, a silent auction. The event is held in the beautiful bowl of Three Caves Quarry on Monte Sano Nature Preserve and is the Land Trust’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
Tickets can be purchased here.
Silent auction begins Saturday
Auction items will be on display at the event, including unique experiences on Land Trust properties, local art and a variety products or services contributed by area businesses.
Bidding begins Saturday at 8AM and ends at 9:30PM. No account is needed to view the auction but you will need to create an account in order to bid. Auction winners will be notified and invoiced by email when the auction closes.
You can pay your invoice online or by visiting the checkout station (cash, check, or credit cards accepted) at the event. Items can be picked up at the event or at the Land Trust office (beginning Monday, September 19 at noon).
Now the best part: auction items
All proceeds from Moondance and the auction benefit Land Trust of North Alabama and support our mission to preserve our area’s scenic, historic and ecological resources through conservation, advocacy, recreation and education.
More than 100 items are up for auction, and can be viewed here. Some of the items up for auction include:
- 2023 Moondace VIP Table + Parking: $800 value
- REI Co-op Outdoor Bundle (including tent, camping chair + more): $390 value
- Pair of Handcrafted Adirondak Chairs: $600 value
- Mountain Springs Pool Membership: $800 value
- Kona Lave Dome 29 bicycle: $950 value
- 2 tickets to Alabama vs. Mississippi State: $60 value
- Cook Museum Family Membership: $275 value
- Private guided wildflower hike: $300 value
- 2 Huntsville Symphony Orchestra tickets: $60 value
- Lumiere & Sombre Cornhole Set: $330 value
Again, those are just some of the awesome items available for bidding Saturday. So if you cannot make the event, be sure and get your bids in online!
