After one of the coldest week’s we’ve seen in quite some time, we are finally looking forward to the weekend, and here in the Rocket City, we have plenty of cool stuff to do this weekend.

Check out these fun suggestions:

1. Cocktails + Cosmos

Join the U.S. Space & Rocket Center for the first of a three-part series touring the planets within our solar system and beyond. Starting with those close to us, journey through the terrestrial worlds, from the speedy Mercury to the mysterious Mars. Discuss missions, discoveries, and more as we touchdown on our rocky planetary neighbors.

2. Fire + Ice

Step into the magic of Fire & Ice, a one-of-a-kind winter gathering at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. This adults-only event combines cool, laid-back vibes with fiery entertainment, all in a stunning outdoor setting of Huntsville Botanical Garden.

3. The Burney Sisters + Goldpine

4. Theatre Huntsville presents ‘The Girl on the Train’

Andrew Kruspe and the Irish Drum Center Studio 1042 in musical Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment is collaborating with the Huntsville Traditional Music Association’s Studio 1038 to host fiddler Finn Magill and bouzouki player/guitarist Alan Murray for an evening of world-class Irish and Scottish traditional music.

6. TobyMac Hits Deep Tour

American contemporary Christian music singer, rapper and songwriter TobyMac brings his “Hits Deep Tour” to the VBC this weekend, with guests Crowder, Cain and more.

7. Silver Silos

The Silver Silos (Taylor Burton, Jacob Greene and Brad Greene) return to St Stephens for an evening of songs and tall tales.

8. Birding at Burritt

This family-friendly, fun-filled day includes a falconry presentation, an Audubon Society-led guided hike, and a visit to the Barnyard at Burritt on the Mountain.

9. Yoga at Lowe Mill

Enjoy a “Slow & Strong Vinyasa Flow” class Saturday afternoon at Lowe Mill. Connect your mind, body and spirit in an art-filled setting while you unwind and build strength.

10. Drop In + Draw

Relax and unwind with a cozy hour of soft music, warm drinks and unguided art Saturday at the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library Downtown.

11. Guided hike at Chapman Mountain

This guided hike with the Land Trust of North Alabama hike will give you the opportunity to get out and see the upper elevations of the Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve. 

12. Alabama A&M Basketball

Alabama A&M is at home this weekend taking on Texas Southern. The women’s team tips ofrf at 2PM, and the men’s game will start soon after, around 4PM.
