The weekend is approaching and we have a fantastic slate of events this weekend here in the Huntsville area. From live music to sports and markets, you’re sure to find something cool to do this weekend.

1. Merchants Alley Happy Hour Music Series

Head to charming Downtown Athens and enjoy great tunes from the The Silver Silos while taking in the pleasant fall weather.

2. Movies in the Park

This Friday night in Big Spring Park East is a free showing of the Halloween favorite “Hocus Pocus.” Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs to enjoy the films. Food vendors and music will begin at 5:00 PM, with the movie starting at sunset.

3. Jim Parker’s Songwriters Series

This edition of Jim Parker’s Songwriters Series will feature a Muscle Shoals Songwriters Festival Takeover that benefits the Muscle Shoals Songwriters Foundation.

4. Haunted Mansion Dinner

Don’t miss this “spooktacular” dinner at Dr. Burritt’s chilling mansion. The sit-down dinner includes Ghostly White and Bone-Dry Red Wine. Visit the Fortune Teller for a few haunting surprises.

Head to Innerspace Brewing for a night featuring amazing local vendors, DJ/Artists, food and local brews. This event is free to attend and all ages are welcome.

11. Fright Lights Laser Show

Catch this amazing Halloween-themed laser light show brought to you by Rocket City Lasers.

Experience intimate re-imaginings of John Legend’s greatest hits (“All of Me,” “Ordinary People,” “Tonight”), unexpected stories from Legend’s life and career, and selections from his most recent release.

13. MidCity Monster Mash

Starting this weekend, this fun pop-up runs through Halloween Night. Dress up in your costumes and head to The Camp for all kinds of fun, food, music, vendors and more.
