The first “official” weekend of summer is here and the Rocket City has plenty of cool stuff to do over the next few days — from live music to sporting events and nature hikes — so make sure and get out and about this weekend.

Here are some suggestions:

1. Food Truck Rallies

As is the custom, the third Friday of the month at Big Spring Park is reserved for Food Truck Rallies. Come enjoy the park, listen to live music and get some tasty food at one of the multiple food trucks around the park.

2. European Wine Tasting

Head downtown Friday to Domaine South for a fantastic European wine tasting event featuring wines from Italy and France.

3. Juneteenth Celebration at The Camp

Head out to The Camp at MidCity for the 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration. This year’s celebration will be a two day event, starting Friday afternoon with a panel discussion and talent showcase, and the all day festival on Saturday.

4. Trash Pandas vs. Biloxi

Head out to Toyota Field this weekend to cheer on the Trash Pandas as they take on the Biloxi Shuckers. Friday features post-game fireworks, and Sunday is a bobblehead giveaway.

5. Jazz in the Garden

Enjoy live jazz and R&B music, food trucks and fun at Drake State Community & Technical College’s premier annual fundraiser.

6. Incredible Comedy Hour at OBTX

Don’t miss another edition of Tim Kelly’s Incredible Comedy Hour featuring Greg Behrens, Luke Bentley and more hilarious guests.

7. HCRU Car Show

The Huntsville Cave Rescue Unit is hosting an awesome car show this Saturday atop Monte Sano. Cost is $20 and awards will be given for People’s Choice for Top 20, Best Paint, Best Interior and Best of Show.

8. NASA in the Park

This cool event blends education with fun activities. Attendees can enjoy over 80 exhibits and demonstrations by NASA experts, free musical performances, hands-on activities, yard games, food vendors and fun for all ages.

9. Huntsville’s Downtown Vintage Market

Explore vintage gems from more than 40 vendors, offering unique pieces from clothing to decor to collectibles spanning from the 50s to the 2000s.

10. Juneteenth Celebration at The Orion

Enjoy live music, food trucks, unique vendors, family fun events and more at this celebration at the Orion Amphitheater.

11. Water Lantern Festival

The Water Lantern Festival at Big Spring Park is an amazing experience where you’ll witness the magic of lanterns as they light up the water.

12. 80s Patio Party w/the M-80s

Come dressed in your best 80’s outfit and dance the night away at Furniture Factory downtown. Enter for a chance to win a gift Certificate to either Furniture Factory, BAAM or Southern Gayles Golf course.

13. Black Jacket Symphony features Purple Rain
