1,800 new homes coming to North Huntsville after rezoning approval

The Huntsville City Council gave the go-ahead for 1,800 new homes to be built in North Huntsville after approving the rezoning of 505 acres on the north side of State Route 255.
This development—Harris Farms—is located just west of Memorial Parkway and near the North Village retail development currently under construction.

Harris Farms to include 1,800 housing units in North Huntsville

The Harris Farms development is expected to include single-family homes, townhomes, apartments and a 55-plus active adult community.
In addition to housing units, the residential community is expected to include:
- Swimming pools
- Pickleball courts
- Tennis courts
- Community gym
- 7,300 feet of trails
- 140,000 feet of sidewalks
The entire project is expected to take more than 10 years to complete.
