Athens has become a hub for high-quality, curated antiques with shops like these. Central to Birmingham, Nashville and Huntsville, the Athens antique scene is worth the drive if you’re on the hunt for unique life-long pieces.

1. Serendipity Antiques and Interiors

With several niche vendors, you’ll find a wide range of high-end to affordable one-of-a-kind vintage pieces. Whether you love kitschy collectibles, mid century modern classics or rustic interiors, you’re sure to find something here. Located on Highway 72, it’s just a quick detour for a world of fun pieces.

If you’re on the hunt for quality antiques from the 1700’s -1970’s, this your spot. The 9,000 square-foot building houses Frank’s own collection plus several vendors from Athens, Huntsville, Nashville, Birmingham and more.

Frank chose to open up his dream shop in Athens because of his community roots, the convenient geographic location, and the captive Athens audience.

“There seemed to be a pent-up demand for functional, affordable, high-end antiques that you could live with. We gathered the vendors and opened the doors in a short amount of time with lots of support from the community.”

Frank Crafts, owner

I’ve found countless conversation pieces with the Frank’s tag over the years. He posts on socials nearly everyday highlighting just-in pieces.

Check out their official open house this weekend for longer hours, live music and refreshments. Don’t miss the back corner that’s curated to look like a 70’s closet!
