North Huntsville residents are set to receive a major upgrade to their local healthcare options!

At 10AM on October 21, 2026, leaders within the Huntsville Hospital Health System (HH Health) met with Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle, local elected officials and County Chamber members to celebrate the groundbreaking for a new freestanding emergency room.

  • 💰 In total, $30M will go into this new facility, making it the largest healthcare investment ever made in North Huntsville
  • 📍 10121 Memorial Pkwy NW, Huntsville, AL 35810
  • 📅 Expected completion in late 2027 or early 2028

This facility is a much needed upgrade to an area that historically has had fewer healthcare options than other parts of the city.

“North Huntsville is growing, and this is an important step in making sure emergency services keep pace with the community. We’re bringing the resources and expertise of Huntsville Hospital closer to the families who depend on us.”

Tracy Doughty, executive vice president of Madison County operations for HH Health
