The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce honored local small businesses and individuals during the 37th Annual Small Business Awards Gala, held at the Von Braun Center Tuesday evening.

The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber hosts this annual event to recognize the outstanding work businesses and individuals are doing in the Huntsville/Madison community.
Judging is handled by Chambers outside of Alabama. Here are this year’s winners:
- Young Professional of the Year: Kristy Powell, Cepeda Systems & Software Analysis
- Nonprofit of the Year: Still Serving Veterans
- Professional Services Business of the Year: NXTSTEP Family Law
- Emerging Business of the Year: InSight Strategic Solutions
- Culinary Business of the Year: The Veggie
- Government Contracting – Professional Services Business of the Year: Engineering & Computer Simulations
- Government Contracting – Technology Business of the Year: Avion Solutions
- Service Business of the Year: Century Automotive
- Medical Practice of the Year: Johnson & Hayes Physical Therapists
- Technology Business of the Year: Summit 7 Systems
- Woman-Owned Business of the Year: Mason Dixon Bakery & Bistro
- Russell G. Brown Executive Leadership Award: Jonathan Hard, H2L Solutions
2021 Small Business Awards Winners
Here were some of the highlights of last year’s awards:
- Ruchi won Culinary Business of the Year
- Kids to Love won Nonprofit of the Year and Woman-Owned Business of the Year
- Quinton Young with Huntsville Housing Authority won Young Professional of the Year
- Jamie Miller with Mission Multiplier won the Russell G. Brown Executive Leadership Award.
