Looking to learn a new skill, show off your culinary talent or just want a fun afternoon? We found four cooking classes happening around the Rocket City this spring.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to bake delicious bread or create a scrumptious sushi roll, these courses are for you.

1. Rafael’s Table

Located at Lowe Mill, Rafael’s Table is the spot for foodies seeking a hands-on cooking and eating experience.

All supplies used in the course are curated to elevate your unique creation. At Rafael’s Table, culinary exploration knows no bounds.

Public sessions occur regularly, with private lessons offered for an intimate and interactive challenge.

2. Cooking with C.C.

Teaching out of his kitchen or yours, C.C. Fridlin creates top-notch experiences through each of his cooking classes.

Each class includes a recipe pack and instructions on how to prepare a select dish. You’ll also be introduced to new ingredients and techniques.

BONUS: You get to taste your masterpiece when it’s done!

I got to chat with C.C. and he explained that while he doesn’t have any upcoming public classes lined up, he’s always eager to teach people through private lessons.

Fun fact: C.C. is headed to Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast this May to cook and learn alongside other culinary talents around the world.

Put your skills to the test—participate in a public Cooking with C.C. class once a month or book a private lesson.

3. The Bakingtist School of Baking

We can’t make a guide to cooking classes around Huntsville and without mentioning The Bakingtist School of Baking.

The owner, Heidi Kizer, earned degrees in biochemistry and environmental engineering before stumbling upon her favorite science of all—baking (hence, the periodic table pictured above).

This science-forward bakery and cafe is located in the historic Times Building in downtown Huntsville and makes gourmet sandwiches, gooey cookies, pastries and more.

When I talked to Heidi, she couldn’t help but rave about the fun lineup they have in store—from pizza, biscuits, croissants and more, a class with The Bakingtist School of Baking will be your new favorite hobby.

They’ve got one coming up on March 30. Join the fun and make an Italian Easter bread centerpiece to wow your family and friends!

4. Phuket Thai

Phuket Thai Restaurant is known for quality food and good service. We also discovered they offer many cooking classes.

Born and raised in Thailand, Chef Tukky is a master of Thai Cuisine. Learn from her at one of Phuket Thai’s public classes. We found two coming up that you need to sign up for.

No matter which course you choose to take part in around Huntsville, all are sure to be 10/10 experience, letting you enhance your culinary skills, learn new cultures and have fun.
