4 new businesses in the Huntsville area—what to know
Keeping up with all of the new businesses in the Huntsville area these days is a full time job (no, really, it is!) because it seems like weekly we have multiple new business announcements to make.
And that’s a good thing. This year we have welcomed dozens of new businesses to the Rocket City, and the year is just half over. Here a few new businesses in the Huntsville area that opened this past week:
1. Tom Brown’s
Folks in the Huntsville area already know about the delicious food and incredible atmosphere at Tom Brown’s restaurant in Madison. Soon, Huntsvillians will have another option to dine at the local eatery. The new location will open this week in the Hays Farm development.

2. MidCity Starbucks
The much-anticipated opening of the new Starbucks in the MidCity District came to pass this past week. This 2,500-square-foot location has a drive-thru, some great outdoor seating and offers all of the delicious food and coffee one would expect from Starbucks.

3. Big Whiskey’s
This Missouri-based chain is coming to Huntsville and bringing their incredibly extensive drink menu with more than 120 whiskeys and rare spirits. The food is fabulous and the atmosphere is perfect.
The Huntsville location will be owned and operated by Terry and Aimee Sims. However, we have not been given confirmation on a location just yet.

4. Old Black Bear Brewing in Athens
Madison’s own Old Black Bear Brewing — known not only for its tasty craft brews but also its fantastic food — is opening a new location in Athens. This is big news for folks in Athens, as anyone who has enjoyed Old Black Bear in Madison can confirm.
