Here’s a handful of brand-new establishments in the Rocket City for you to check out, as well as one heading out.

Stadium Commons right outside of Joe Davis Stadium is already moving and shaking with excitement.

Hattie B’s opened its doors last week, and here are just a few more businesses that will be welcoming guests in coming months:

Free People + Free People Movement

The lifestyle clothing giant is opening a storefront in Stadium Commons, with its fitnesswear counterpart Free People Movement unveiling its first standalone store in Alabama.

Juniper’s Kitchen

The team behind beloved restaurants such as Melt + One Eleven is bringing a brand-new concept that will serve upscale American fare + creative cocktails.

VSL Nails

Locally-owned VSL Nails from Madison is expanding into Huntsville.

Ferren Boutique

A local mother-daughter duo is bringing NYC-inspired fashion to the Rocket City in this modern + sophisticated boutique.

Brick & Tin

The Birmingham restaurant, bar + bakery Brick & Tin is expanding beyond the Iron City for the first time, with a brand-new location on Washington Street open now.

The spot boasts small plates + creative spins on well-loved dishes, as well as an expansive drink menu perfect for date night or GNO.

CLOSING: Athens Alehouse & Cellar

Downtown favorite Athens Alehouse is shutting its doors, announced via Facebook over the weekend..

The kitchen has closed, but you can still grab a brew or a cocktail through December 27.
