St. Patrick’s Day is coming up — Sunday, March 17, to be exact — and you can find several cool events to enhance your celebration of the Irish-themed holiday.
Here are five St. Patrick’s Day celebration events here in the Huntsville area:
47th Annual Ellen McAnelly Memorial St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The Annual Ellen McAnelly Memorial St. Patrick’s Day Parade is held in downtown Huntsville and has been a Huntsville tradition since 1978. It was started by the owner of Finnegan’s Pub, Ellen McAnelly – a native of Galway, Ireland.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade After Party
While we do not recommend missing the parade downtown, there’s still time to get in on the revelry at Straight to Ale for the Parade After-Party. There’s great beer, live music, and more St. Paddy’s celebration!

Free Rex St. Patrick’s Day Party at Maggie Meyers Pub
