5 Huntsville holiday shows you need to see this December, including The Nutcracker

My favorite thing to do in the month of December? Shows, shows and more shows. Since I was little, I’ve always loved going to see The Nutcracker—it has become a tradition. If you’re an art lover like me, here are five shows you must see for a taste of the arts in Huntsville. Read on.

1. Peace on Earth: A Holiday Spectacular

Voctave is a viral a cappella group that you have to see to believe. Thankfully, there’s an opporunity for that.

Their newest album, The Spirit of The Season is perfect to get you in the holiday spirit.

2. A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol is a holiday classic. You don’t want to miss this festive December event. This production is put on by Fantasy Playhouse and is sure to melt even The Grinch’s heart.

3. The Heritage Ringers

I’ve always loved the hand bells. If only I could play them…

While I wait for my hand bell skills, I’ll leave it up to the professionals. The Heritage Ringers will be providing the Huntsville community with a free concert. You can expect to hear some of your Christmas favorites.

4. The Nutcracker

You didn’t think I would just tease you with The Nutcracker like that, did you?

5. The Eight: Reindeer Monologues

Up until this point, you’ve been provided with great, family-friendly shows. This one is just for the adults, aged 18 and older.

Christmas time is busy and stressful—not only or you, but for reindeer, too. This is the opportunity for Santa’s reindeer to blow off some holiday steam and diss Santa a time or two.

Theater Huntsville will give you some good laughs.
