New businesses open in Huntsville every week, but this week they’re all local.

Here are the five business openings you can’t miss this week, plus one closing.

1. First Stop

First Stop opened a new 8,434 square foot facility committed to aiding the fight against homelessness. Mental health and medical services are a part of the space that also includes:

  • A case management suite
  • An enrichment classroom
  • A computer lab
  • An indoor dinning room

2. Rookiez Wingz

Rookiez Wingz will open a new location on Ryland Pike inside the Texaco. They’ll be open this Sunday for the big game, so much sure to stop by and support this business.

Café De La UAH

You can find this student owned and run café on the first floor of Salmon Library at UAH.

Furry Land of Huntsville/Decatur

This mobile pet groomer conveniently comes to you, and it services dogs and cats.

Head Hunters

The operator of Head Hunters, Heather Lambert, has 15 years of lice removal experience. She started her business in Atlanta in 2009 and grew to own two studios.

Her businesses closed in 2021 due to COVID, but she reopened in Madison last week.

Closing: The Southern Living Store

The Southern Living store at Bridge Street will close at the end of this month. Until then, merchandise is 20% off.
