Summer in Huntsville is coming, and if you don’t have baseball and trivia nights with your dog on your bucket list, you totally should.

Check out these five upcoming events you can check out with your furry friend.

1. Dog days at Toyota Field with NAVES

Dog days are back at Toyota Field! Pet parents can cheer on the Trash Pandas with their fur babies while sitting in the designated dog sections, including the outfield, Rock Porch, Berm and Sections 1 + 2.

Pro tip: Stop by the NAVES booth and get your pet their own paw-printed rookie card!

  • When: May 28, June 11, June 18, July 2, July 30, August 13, August 27 + September 10
  • Where: Toyota Field, 500 Trash Panda Wy, Madison, AL 35758
  • How much: A $1 donation per dog is required, in addition to ticket prices for humans ($8-$16 for designated dog areas). All donations will benefit a local animal-related non-profit organization.

2. Dog meetups at The Pawms Pet Resort

The Pawms Pet Resort is known for having the largest daycare yard in Huntsville and loves to host events for dogs of all breeds and sizes.

ICYMI: The Pawms had a small dog meetup in April, kicking off their summer season. Check out their other upcoming events:

3. Dog Days at the Garden

Ditch your worn-out walking trail and find your inner zen while strolling with your dog in the peaceful Huntsville Botanical Garden. While you’re there, make sure to say hi to the newest member of the Garden, Mama Zelda, fondly referred to as Huntsville’s largest resident.

4. Trivia, open mic night + more at Rocket City Dog Bar

What could be better than getting your trivia fix? Testing your skills with your pup, of course! Rocket City Dog Bar has a solid lineup of recurring pet-friendly events, including:

  • Trivia: Tuesdays at 6:30PM
  • Open Mic: Wednesdays at 7PM
  • Mario Kart Tournament: Thursdays, 5-8PM
  • Lawn Chair Concert: Saturdays, 6PM

5. Dog Splash Pool

Bummed you can’t take your pup to the local pool? Give them a real treat this summer by booking a private swimming session for them. Or, even better, plan a pet party and bring along some of their best furry friends.

The benefits? Your pup can get active, get some energy out and lower their anxiety.

  • Where: Dog Splash, 1860 Sparkman Dr NW, Huntsville, AL 35816
  • When: By appointment only, Tuesday-Sunday, 6AM-8PM
  • How much: Rates start at $32.50 + $15 each for up to two more dogs for experienced swimmers. First-timer sessions are $46.50.
  • Know before you go: Dogs must be 4 months old or more + vaccinated. (Bring proof of vaccinations + see website for more specific requirements.)
