We all know college football is king during the fall here in Alabama, but in addition to gridiron action, folks here in the Huntsville area have multiple options for sporting events over the next few months.

Check out these fall sporting events in the Rocket City:

Huntsville Havoc Hockey Season Opener

The Huntsville Havoc season opener is Oct. 25 against the Pensacola Ice Flyers. The game features a 2024-25 Magnet Schedule Giveaway courtesy of Huntsville Hospital Sports Center and TOC Sports.

Rocket City Classic: Alabama vs. Memphis

The Alabama Crimson Tide basketball team — fresh off a Final Four appearance — will come to the Rocket City to play the Memphis Tigers at Propst Arena.

North Alabama War Dawgs

The North Alabama War Dawgs will open their 2024-25 season Nov. 2 vs the Jackson Showboats.

Alabama A&M vs. Alabama

The UAH men’s and women’s basketball teams play their home openers Nov. 12 at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. The season schedule can be found here.

Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championships

Head to the John Hunt Park Beach Volleyball Complex for the AVCA Fall Collegiate Beach Championships. This tournament will feature the nation’s top 64 pairs competing for the championship title, representing 45 NCAA Division I and II beach programs from across the United States.
