600 volunteers still needed for Madison County Special Olympics—how you can help now

The Special Olympics of Madison County, AL are being held April 15th and they need your help. The Special Olympics of Madison County has been a staple of our community for 55 years. 

This event has no corporate sponsor, meaning they need the community’s support more than ever to make sure this is a smooth and fun event for athletes.

About the Special Olympics

Special Olympics is a global organization that serves athletes with intellectual disabilities to celebrate and connect through shared talents, skills and friendships.

The event has been hosted in Madison County for over 55 years. 

  • Where: Milton Frank Stadium
  • When: April 15th, 2025
  • Time: 8:30AM-1PM | Introduction ceremony begins at 9:30AM
  • Events: Field (jumping + throwing+ + Track (running)

How you can make a difference

There are three ways that you can get involved to help this event: volunteer, donate or share with those you know. They are currently in desperate need of athlete escorts, who assist and lead athletes to and from events. 

If you can’t offer your time, they are accepting donations for event materials.
