We told y’all last week about all of the great concerts happening in Huntsville in August — Snoop Dogg, Smashing Pumpkins, Billy Strings, etc. — but keep in mind that even beyond the incredible concerts coming to the Rocket City, August is also full of other cool stuff to do.

Huntsville City FC – Aug. 6,9,19,27

The inaugural season for the Huntsville City Football Club has been a smashing success thus far, and the season is not over. The team will play four home games in August, so get out cheer on the HCFC!

Sluice Fest – Aug. 11-13

Sluice Fest is a three day music festival that celebrates the Sluice fanzine — a Huntsville based zine centered on music, art and community. Taking place at Gold Spring Coffee and the Orion Amphitheater, it’s the perfect weekend to hear your new favorite band!

Monument Dedication for Revolutionary War Vets – Aug. 12

Two new stones and the addition of 22 new names of Madison County patriots will be added at the Huntsville Madison County Veterans Memorial, hosted by the Twickenham Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
