Located in the heart of Huntsville, this museum is a local favorite. With multiple exhibits, a kids zone and the $5 after 5 event every Thursday, this museum has something for the whole family.

Alabama Music Hall of Fame
For all the music lovers out there, Alabama’s very own Music Hall of Fame is an absolute must-see. Full of rich culture and history, this museum spotlights Alabama icons including Nat “King” Cole, W.C. Handy and the band Alabama.

EarlyWorks Children’s Museum

If you’re looking for a fun museum to take your little ones, EarlyWorks is the perfect afternoon trip. The fun hands-on museum is designed for children ages 2-12 and sits just down the street from Big Spring Park. From talking trees to keel boats, the environment is far from boring.

SIGNALS: Museum of Information Explosion

Whether you’re a technology connoisseur or just a regular old doom-scroller, this museum will absolutely blow your mind. A walk through this museum takes you on a trip from Benjamin Franklin’s kite to the Motorola Razr and beyond. SIGNALS features many hands-on exhibits, including one that tests your knowledge of Morse code.

Cook Museum of Natural Science

The Cook Museum is the closest thing North Alabama has to its very own “Animal Kingdom.” Created by the founder of Cook’s Pest Control, this uniquely-crafted museum takes you on an educational trip through caves, oceans, forests and more. With live animals and interactive experiences, this spot has loads to offer.

North Alabama Railroad Museum

One of North Alabama’s most historical landmarks is located right off of the Alabama A&M campus. The North Alabama Railroad Museum features multiple informative exhibits and trains that are over one hundred years old (that still run to this day!). Visit on a Thursday or Saturday for a detailed volunteer-guided tour, or take a self-guided tour during other days of operation.

Space and Rocket Center
