7 exciting July events in Huntsville—beyond the 4th
July is always a fun month — we are in the middle of summer, it’s a great time to travel, summer events are in full swing — especially with the 4th of July festivities that come with it.
We told you about some fun stuff to do to celebrate the 4th of July in and around Huntsville, and some awesome concerts coming to town during the month, but here are some more cool events in July that you will want to check out as well:
Bert Kreischer’s Fully Loaded Comedy Festival – July 6
Get ready to laugh, Huntsville! Bert Kreischer’s Fully Loaded Comedy Festival features Mark Normand, Tiffany Haddish, Big Jay Oakerson, Chad Daniels, Ralph Barbosa and Rosebud Baker.

Red, White + Blues – July 7
Celebrate Independence Day for a second time at The Speakeasy at Campus 805, with this Elvis tribute event, Red White & Blues. Elvis tribute performer Ben King is the star, dressed in the authentic 1968 Comeback Special Leather outfit and early 1970’s Vegas Style Jumpsuits, combined with the voice and moves to match.

Rocket City Summer Music Fest – July 8
Formerly known as the Summer Soul Music Fest, this event features two stages in action simultaneously with two different vibes (An outdoor “Southern Soul“ stage and an indoor “R&B” stage) with lots of great DJ’s.

Fishing For Fun Day – July 12
The 3rd Annual Fishing for Fun Day is coming to Hays Nature Preserve’s Bar Lake. This event is free and for all ages. In addition to open fishing, fishermen from the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division will lead a Seining Demonstration.

Casino Night w/ the Trash Pandas – July 15
At the start of the night, each guest will receive $300 casino cash (play money) to exchange for casino chips. Casino games will be with professional dealers at each table in games including blackjack, poker, roulette, craps, along with slot machines. The atmosphere will also include a red carpet experience and special appearances by Vegas showgirls around the concourse.

Star Wars Invasion – July 22, 23
Star Wars fans get ready! At Early Works Museum, guests can have their pictures taken with costumed Star Wars characters from the Legions. Characters will be present from 10AM – 3PM Saturday and 11AM – 3PM Sunday.

Invisible Summer Music Fest – July 22
This mini music festival features artists like Swamp Rats, Baby’s Got A Knife, Devil’s Got A Hold On Me, Boozy Slufoot and Wrong Brothers. Organized by WLRH, this is a great chance to catch some incredible local live music at a fabulous location in Fractal Brewing.
