It’s time to celebrate top-notch food and remarkable restaurant owners, Huntsville. National Black Restaurant week kicked off on October 20 and will run through October 29.

Read on to learn about 7 incredible Black-owned restaurants here in the Rocket City.

1. Bo’s Best Wings

From wings and ribs to fish and shrimp, Bo’s Best Wings can do it all. The regulars recommend ordering the wings and peachade on your first visit.

2. Porcher’s Cafe

Catfish baskets, shrimp and grits, the famous French Toast and more—you can find it all at Porcher’s Cafe in Harvest. Along with offering a stellar breakfast and lunch menu, Porcher’s also provides excellent catering services.

3. G’s Country Kitchen

G’s Country Kitchen prioritizes making healthy affordable. They offer prices just as low as fast food joints but provide nutritious options, so you can feed your whole family for less.

4. Superhero Chefs

5. Betty Mae’s

Betty Mae’s is the perfect lunch spot, featuring some of the best ‘meat and 3’s’ in town. Make sure to try the fried chicken and sweet potato pie when you visit.

6. Sac’s Kitchen

Sac’s Kitchen showcases some of the best soul food and one of the friendliest atmospheres in the Rocket City. Plus, they are organizing an event to help feed Huntsville’s homeless population on Thanksgiving.

7. BarbeQue Heaven

If you’re a big BBQ fan, BarbeQue heaven is a must visit. The regulars recommend ordering the pulled pork, green beans and macaroni for your meal and getting the delicious red velvet cake for dessert.
