Locals love the dazzlingly artful treats from Pizzelle’s Confections, as do people all over, especially after the shop took top honors as the best chocolate shop in the nation, as voted by USA Today readers. They’re almost too pretty to eat — almost. (You definitely should eat them.)

2. Piper & Leaf Tea Company

This Huntsville-based, family-owned tea company says that serving tea is “about serving joy to all people,” and what better season than now to celebrate that sentiment? We can confirm you’ll have joyful gift recipients of goodies from Piper & Leaf.

Fresh pastries, cakes and pies from The Moon Bakeshop will make you the star guest of any holiday gathering, the favorite neighbor or the most iconic office potluck contributor.

4. Edgar’s Bakery

We love having three locations of this Birmingham-based business here in the Huntsville area. They’re perfect spots for quick lunches while wrapping up your gift list shopping, plus you’ll find a selection of goodies worth giving. I have one out-of-state relative who visits every holiday season, and she brings an Edgar’s shopping list from friends.

Check in early during the remaining holiday hours; they’re selling as fast as they’re made!
