I can’t count the number of times I visited T.J. Maxx and Home Goods before knowing I could take Teddy inside with me. Apparently, most locations across the country are dog-friendly—all you have to do is call beforehand and confirm with the store manager.

Teddy and I visited the T.J. Maxx on 72. He loved shopping for fall wreaths and getting lots of pets from children in the store.

If you’re in the mood to hit up lots of stores and grab a bite to eat, you need to stop by Bridge Street—one of Huntsville’s best indoor dog spots. You can visit dozens of pet-friendly shops and dine at most restaurants on the pup-friendly patios!

Just look for a little paw print by the entrance of the store, and you’re good to bring Fido inside.

4. Rural King + Tractor Supply

These two may seem like a no brainer, but Rural King and Tractor Supply are great indoor dog spots. Make sure to let your dog take a peek at the baby chicks at Tractor Supply—they’ll love every minute of it.

5. Lowe Mill

I remember when I first found out I could bring Teddy inside Lowe Mill. It was in the middle of the blazing summer heat, and I was so excited to find an indoor spot where I could shop, browse art, dine or get some work done with him by my side.

Many of the Lowe Mill restaurants include dog-friendly dining areas. Dragon’s Forge even offers a “dog parking” station where you can tie up your pet while you go inside the cafe to order.
