🙂 Hey Huntsville!

We’ve got nine new openings to cover this week, including a Chipotle on South Parkway and a couple Italian restaurants, as well as two spots that have closed or will be closing soon.

  • What: Both the Phaze 3 Fitness locations in Huntsville and in Madison were acquired by Onelife Fitness on September 1. According to the company, membership rates are remaining unchanged and they are retaining 100% of the staff

[💔CLOSING] Kona Grill

Alabama’s only Kona Grill location closed its doors Monday, September 28. It originally opened back in 2016 and was known for selling seafood, steak and other grilled items. The restaurant will be missed by many within the Huntsville community.

[💔CLOSING] Brown Bear LLC Canoe and Kayak Rentals

On October 4, the Facebook page associated with Brown Bear announced that 2026 would be the rental company’s last season. Originally opened in 2017, Brown Bear has been the go-to for many Huntsville residents to spend a relaxing day on the water.

They will continue operating through the end of October on weekends and by reservations on weekdays, with a clearance sale from October 23-25.
